A Love Story Turned Into a Business—With a Photo Booth Twist

We met in the most unexpected way—first as kids at church, and then, years later, fate stepped in. In 2017, we ran into each other at a Human Resources summit. There was a photo booth, some cheesy pick-up lines from Chris (yes, really), and the kind of spark you don’t forget. Numbers were exchanged, memories started, and just like that… things were set in motion.

From Corporate America to Core Memories

For two years, we dated and teamed up on events through Dee’s Petals, Denise’s award-winning floral and event planning business. Long before Chris was around, Denise was already making waves—recognized in the top 5% of event planners by WeddingWire between 2010-2014. But once we started working together, we realized something powerful: our creativity, passion, and hustle were a perfect match.

As we worked events, one thing kept popping up—photo booths. They were everywhere, and people loved them. Even with full-time careers in Corporate America, we couldn’t shake the idea of starting something of our own… something that brings people joy.

Family, Pause, and a New Beginning

We tied the knot in March 2019, with a daughter already by our side, we welcomed our twin boys in 2020 (right in the middle of the pandemic), and became guardians to our pre-teen nephew. Life was full, beautiful, and chaotic. Naturally, Dee’s Petals took a backseat—but our passion for creating special moments never left.

Now in 2025, we’re diving back in.

Only this time, it’s one “tap to start” at a time.
